"Jupiter Ascending and Battlefield Earth" is the seventh episode of the fifth season of the film review web series Half in the Bag, and 83rd episode in the series overall. The episode aired February 12, 2015.
Plot[]
Mr. Plinkett continues to be on the brink of flatulence from the previous episode while Mike and Jay discuss the absurdity of using his flatulence to propel them to the surface of Lake Michigan. Eventually Mr. Plinkett's flatulence gives way and he uses it to fill up a hot air balloon and the episode ends with the house slowly starting to rise from the bottom of the lake.
Review[]
Jupiter Ascending[]
Mike and Jay's review of the movie is relatively mixed. Jay said that, "...A movie that...has just an endless arsenal of silly weird shit and can end up being this dull and boring." Mike said that, "He wouldn't call it lifeless or entirely" and that if he were using a grading scale that he would probably give the film a C. Mike recommended the movie and said that it was probably good for preteens while Jay did not recommend it.
Battlefield Earth[]
Both Mike and Jay seem to agree that it is a "so bad it's good" type of movie. Mike gave a softer recommendation saying that "It's a notoriously bad movie and if you are a fan of notoriously bad movies it should be on you're list."
