"Into the Storm and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is the seventeenth and final episode of the fourth season of film review web series Half in the Bag, and 76th episode in the series overall. The episode aired August 15, 2014 on Blip.[1][2]

In this episode, Mike and Jay extol Boyhood, attracting the attention of a construction worker. Together, they discuss found footage disaster film Into the Storm and science fiction action comedy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.[2]

Plot[]

As reviews roll in for Richard Linklater's coming-of-age drama Boyhood, Mike and Jay realize they were wrong about the film and man up to their mistakes. Their newfound love for Boyhood attracts the attention of Richard Edlund Jr., a construction worker. Euphoric in their shared passion for Boyhood, the three destroy Mr. Plinkett's living room.

After calming down, Mike, Jay, and Richard order some pizza and discuss Into the Storm and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Richard admits he hasn't seen Into the Storm yet.

Sudden fits of coughing overtake Mike and Jay, and Richard remembers why he came into Mr. Plinkett's house. He explains that a chemical company has colluded with the government to release toxic gas in Plinkett's house. Before Richard leaves, he warns Mike and Jay that prolonged exposure to the gas could be harmful.

Disgusted by the corruption in the local government and motivated to save the city, Mike and Jay inhale more gas, hoping to gain superpowers. They, however, fall unconscious before their powers can manifest.

Summary and Review[]

Into the Storm[]

Into the Storm is a new tornado horror movie starring no one you've ever heard of. A barrage of visual effects, wind machines, and bad dialogue bring the terror to the big screen, but what is really terrifying are the people in the theater sitting next to you! When people become so f**king fat they no longer retain the shape of a human, you know they've eaten too much popcorn. HAVE YOU SEEN THESE PEOPLE??? CAN THEY CHEW WITH THEIR MOUTHS CLOSED FOR CHRIST'S SAKE??? S**t, it's louder than the movie, and this is a movie about loud-ass tornadoes!
—Mike Stoklasa

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[]

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back! Only this time, they are CGI instead of rubber costumes. Although, technically, they were CGI last time, but that was completely CGI. And they were also a cartoon at one point as well ... multiple times they've been a cartoon [...]
This time they do some things on screen: they fight Shredder, they try to stop someone from releasing gas onto the city or whatever, and then the movie ends, I think.
