"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is the fifteenth episode of the fourth season of film review web series Half in the Bag, and 74th episode in the series overall. The episode aired July 18, 2014 on Blip.[1][2]

In this episode, Mike and Jay return to Mr. Plinkett's house and discuss Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.[2]

Plot[]

After noticing that the back room has been smelling pleasant, Mike is reminded by Jay that Mr. Plinkett has finally moved out of the repair shop. They soon get a call from a chipper Mr. Plinkett, who rehires the duo to fix his VCR so he can watch his Night Court tape. The duo travel to Plinkett's house, now rebuilt on a cliff, and immediately fall back on their old tricks. Plinkett, exasperated by their blatant attempts to swindle him, goes to the store, and demands that they repair his VCR by the time he returns.

After reacquainting themselves with the chairs, the duo drink and talk about Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. At the end of their discussion, a mysterious pipe is thrust through the wall and begins exhausting toxic gas into the living room.

Summary and Review[]

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes[]

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes takes place ten years after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, in a post-apocalyptic, thankfully James Franco-less world where highly intelligent apes live in the woods and moderately intelligent humans live in a moss-covered back lot. A series of wacky misunderstandings leads the two camps to wage war on each other.
