"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is the eleventh episode of the fifth season of film review web series Half in the Bag, and 87th episode in the series overall. The episode aired May 8, 2015 on YouTube.[1][2]

In this episode, Mike and Jay return to the VCR Repair Shop, only to find they have been evicted and the shop converted into a video game repair shop. For the first time in years, the duo are at a loss. To buy time, they invite the new owners to see the superhero film Avengers: Age of Ultron.[2]

Plot[]

Abandoning Mr. Plinkett on a mountaintop, Mike and Jay have several unseen adventures on their return to the VCR Repair Shop. They discover that the shop has been converted into a video game repair shop run by Richard Edlund Jr. and Jack Oreman, two unscrupulous video game technicians.

Now persona non grata due to rent in arrears, Mike and Jay stall for time by inviting Richard and Jack to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. The offer is initially rebuffed, but the techs take pity on Mike and Jay and see the movie. The four later commiserate about the future of Marvel movies and bond over some beers.

Regardless, Richard and Jack kick Mike and Jay to the curb. As the duo leaves the repair shop, Mike promises that his scheme to retake the store will be violent, terrible, and poorly planned.

Meanwhile, in his house on top of a mountain, Mr. Plinkett shivers and wonders when Mike and Jay will return.

Summary and Review[]

Avengers: Age of Ultron[]

The 2015 summer movie season kicks off with Disney's Marvel's The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. That's right, man-children, it's that time of every other year when the Avengers assemble to fight something, smash buildings, and learn the important lesson of teamwork. In this second film, Iron Man makes an AI crazy person called Ultron. Ultron wants to kill all life on planet Earth. His counterpart is a man with red skin who lives in a metal box. His name is the Seer or the Watcher or the Knower? Or something. He shoots at Ultron with a laser crystal on his forehead and other characters have some development. The film ends eventually.
